RM of Shamrock’s story
The Rural Municipality of Shamrock No. 134 was incorporated as a rural municipality on December 9, 1912. It lies in the south-central part of Saskatchewan, south of Highway 1, the Trans-Canada Highway.
The village of Shamrock is surrounded by the RM, and the RM's office is located there. The locality of Kelstern is also within the municipality. Today the RM is run by an elected council and an appointed administrator, who meet on the second Thursday of every month.
